slowly realizing why i could never be on american idol
these people all take songs and ~make them their own~ or ~put their own twist on them~ and i can’t do that
i can’t slow down moves like jagger and make it ~jazzy~
i’d have to sing every song exactly as it was written/originally performed and in a way similar to the actual singers of the song
for example if i listen to uh never gonna give you up, even though i can’t it that low of a note ever with my voice i damn well try and sound like a weirdo the whole time i’m singing but dammit i refuse to sing it any other way
